Today the group had an early training session at Liverpool Academy. The U18 boys where doing a light training session at the same time. We saw Martin Hansen training with the U18 as he has been injured and is beginning to fight his way back.
The training was good and one of the boys, Jack a 14 years old boy from Sydney was picked for further training opportunities. Liverpool would like him to do a 6 weeks trail period at the academy so for some this tour has turned out to be a real good opportunity.
After this session we had a short sightseeing in Liverpool, first at Albert dock and then in centre. Chris and I went down to the Cavern club to see where Beatles once played before they became famous.
After the sightseeing the second training session of the day was at Everton with their academy coaches at Evertons new training facilities. This was even more impressive than Liverpools and when we arrived the 1. team players was there. We didn't had the chance to meet them but the group had a really good session with the coaches.
I'm not sure they really understand how Lucky they are, how many get the chance to train with Liverpool and Everton at the same day???
Everton's coaches suggested that this was an yearly event I would like to see us again next year, so maybe...
Chris and Andres was doing well and was better that they have been in the other training sessions, so they are progressing. But I recon if they changes there attitude a bit more, it can help them approve even more next week. Tomorrow, are the group going to to matches, first Man U vs. Liverpool U18, then PL match Blackburn vs. Newcastle before they transfer to Newcastle.
As I'm staying here in Chester this will be the last from me from this tour. I hope you all now know hop exciting this has been and we might never come here again.
Training for the rest of the tour are, 2 session with Newcastle on Sunday and 3 sessions with Glasgow Rangers next week before returning home.
I'm going to Anfield on Sunday to watch Liverpool vs. Bolton, so I'm going to Mekka again before returning home on Monday.
